Intersectionality in the UK : between the American paradigm and the European paradox
107-116 p.
- This paper discusses the trajectory of intersectionality from the USA to the UK and Europe, and from law to sociology. It argues that these transitions have transformed the theory of intersectionality rather than anti-discrimination law, with the consequence that black women remain eclipsed as legal subjects and thus legal protection for black women workers remains elusive in the UK and Europe.
