Michele Federico Sciacca e la storia della filosofia

Given a gap in the appreciation of the historical insight of Sciacca' thought, the aim of this paper is to suggest the importance of integrating Sciacca studies froma historical-philosophical perspective. The first section examines some of Sciacca's monographs with a strictly historical focus; the second section analyzes his explici tstatements on the role of the history of philosophy; and finally, the third section highlights his work as a promoter of historical-philosophical series. The final question concerns Sciacca's role in the history of post-World War ii Italian historiography [Publisher's Text].
