Il modello Value-Based Health Care : una possibile risposta alla gestione Covid-19

  • L'emergenza Covid-19, con la sua drastica richiesta di incremento della domanda di cure e assistenza, ha messo il nostro Sistema Sanitario Nazionale (SSN) di fronte alla necessita manifesta di una profonda e inderogabile ristrutturazione delle modalita di gestione della catena del valore dei servizi di cura e assistenza. Il modello del Value-Based Health Care (VBHC), teorizzato da Porter M.E. e Teisberg O.E., oltre a dare una visione strategica, offre delle linee guida per affrontare questo tema sia da un punto di vista intra e interorganizzativo sia da quello sistemico. Secondo gli autori, i fattori determinanti per il successo del modello sono l'allineamento di tutti gli stakeholder su un obiettivo comune, ovvero il valore per il paziente e l'integrazione tra i providers.
  • Sebbene in letteratura vi siano una moltitudine di studi focalizzati sul VBHC questi affrontano per lo piu le trasformazioni in corso di singoli providers o delle politiche sanitarie, tuttavia non emerge ancora un quadro chiaro rispetto ai temi dell'implementazione e ai benefici risultanti. Partendo dai trend-starting articles sul Value-Based Health Care il lavoro si pone l'obiettivo di creare un quadro teorico attraverso cui discutere i vantaggi derivanti dall'applicazione del modello rispetto all'emergenza sanitaria in atto.   • In recent days, due to the Covid-19 emergency, our health system has been called to respond to the strong pressure of the drastic increase in demand. Although the great efforts made by all the actors involved have reduced the dramatic impact of this emergency, the need for a profound restructuring of care and assistance services is now evident. Among the organizational models that address this need, Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) is among the most discussed. The determining factors for the success of the model are the alignment of all the stakeholders on a common goal, namely the value for the patient and the integration between the providers. There are many studies in the literature that focus on the ongoing transformation of the health systems of many countries into Val ue-Based systems, a clear picture does not yet emerge regarding the issues of implementation and the resulting benefits.
  • Starting from the trend-starting articles on Value-Based Health Care, the work aims to create a theoretical framework through which to explain the advantages deriving from the application of the model compared to the current health emergency. [Publisher's text].
