(Contro)mappare le eredità tossiche = (Counter)mapping toxic legacies

Le trasformazioni socio-ecologiche causate dal rischio industriale sono difficili da cogliere in quanto si verificano in maniera graduale nel tempo e diffusa nello spazio. I ricercatori devono cambiare il proprio approccio per riuscire a intercettare le varie sfaccettature delle eredità tossiche. Questo articolo intende dimostrare che un approccio, piccolo, lento e di strada riesca a far comprendere e mappare le diverse eredità tossiche e a tal fine presenterà una serie di riflessioni euristiche riguardanti alcune esperienze condotte con delle comunità nella cittadina petrolchimica di Gela [Testo dell'editore].

Socio-ecological transformations due to industrial risk are difficult to intercept as they occur gradually over time and in a dispersed way across space. Researchers must shift methodologically and epistemologically their approach to capture the multi-faceted toxic legacies. This paper aims to demonstrate that a “small, slow, and street” approach is suitable to understand and map various forms of tangible and intangible, human- and non-human toxic legacies. It will achieve so, by presenting heuristic reflections on community-based experiences in the Sicilian petrochemical town of Gela [Publisher's text].
