  • Il lungo saggio dedicato da L.A. Stella alla ricostruzione dell'etica di Democrito anticipa di più di mezzo secolo il riconoscimento, fattosi strada solo tardivamente negli studi, che tra fisica ed etica esiste sì un rapporto, ma non lineare, e anzi, fondamentalmente, di rottura. Tra i due ambiti esiste certo una forte continuità, che stella mette opportunamente in luce. Tuttavia ella mostra come, trattando di problemi morali, Democrito abbia costruito per la prima volta nella storia della filosofia uno spazio autonomo per l'etica. [Testo dell'editore].
