Che cos'è 'trascendentale' nell'agire presente del soggetto

  • Per comprendere il significato che il trascendentale riveste nel neoidealismo di Croce e Gentile occorre chiedersi, innanzitutto, quali possono essere i caratteri di un'eventuale trascendentalità dell'agire. Perché è sul concetto dell''agire' che sia Croce sia Gentile fanno leva nell'elaborare la propria prospettiva filosofica. Ma tanto l'atto del pensare di Gentile quanto l'atto spirituale di Croce sono sintesi trascendentali di un contenuto esso stesso trascendentale. La filosofia neoidealistica mostra dunque come il trascendentale finisca, da un lato, col rendere circolarmente possibile solo sé stesso, e, dall'altro, con l'abbandonare l'empirico all'empiricità assoluta del suo darsi di fatto e non di diritto.
  • Il contributo solleva, a questo punto, la domanda se, riuscendo ad un simile risultato involontario, il neoidealismo di Croce e Gentile non finisca con lo svelare lo stesso dissidio interno e non sanabile dell'idealismo critico di Kant, secondo le conclusioni alle quali giunse Luigi Scaravelli.   • In order to understand the significance that the concept of 'transcendental' plays in the Neo-idealism of Croce and Gentile, it is necessary, firstly, to ask which features a possible transcendentality of the Act may have. In fact, both Croce and Gentile ground the elaboration of their own philosophical perspective precisely on the concept of Act. But both the act of thinking in Gentile and the spiritual act in Croce are transcendental syntheses of a content that is itself transcendental. Consequently, the Neo-idealistic philosophy shows how the transcendental ends up making circularly possible only itself and so abandoning the 'empirical' to the absolute empirical character of its existence (i.e. as given in fact rather than in principle).
  • The contribution raises, at this point, the question about whether the Neo-idealism of Croce and Gentile, in succeeding in such an involuntary result, ends uprevealing the irremediable conflict of Kant's critical idealism with itself, according to the conclusions of the examination of Kant's trascendental Analytics carried out by Luigi Scaravelli.
