L'attività di scavo e ricerca archeologica dell'Università di Catania a Priniàs

Excavations and archaeological research of the University of Catania at Priniàs.This paper deals with the archaeological activities carried out by the research team of the University of Catania in Priniàs (Crete), on the Patela. The described investigations mainly focused on two distinct sectors of the plateau: the area at the South of the "sacred precinct" and the Building B.The first concerns the excavations, started in 2000 and ended in 2021, of the building VA/VD, a monumental structure internally divided into three rooms, housing a trilithic simulacrum and characterized by two different periods of use at least; the second, instead, consists in the cleaning and drawing of the building B (better known as Temple B of Priniàs) which determined new important awareness of its original architecture and, moreover, diachronical changes [Publisher'sText].
