Aspetti psicologici del turismo esperienziale

  • La psicologia turistica rappresenta un ambito di studio recente, il quale, allo stato dell'arte attuale, non appare aver riscosso il successo sperato dai suoi promotori. Soprattutto nel contesto italiano, dove il turismo costituisce una delle risorse piu importanti del paese, risulta di particolare interesse indagare gli aspetti psicologici sottostanti alle diverse forme che il viaggiare ha assunto. La psicologia turistica, secondo quanto ricordato da Marcello Cesa-Bianchi, fornisce oggi un contributo estremamente importante nel comprendere i cambiamenti che caratterizzano le attuali forme di turismo. Un fenomeno che sempre piu spesso viene descritto come improntato alla ricerca di esperienze autentiche, coinvolgenti e rigeneranti, attraverso cui riscoprire se stessi e gli altri.
  • Le forme che assume il turismo attuale, denominato esperienziale, sono dunque molteplici. In letteratura infatti si riscontrano riferimenti a tipologie di turismo definite alternativamente come sostenibile, etico, alimentare, macabro, sessuale, spaziale per citarne alcune. Il presente articolo si propone dunque di fornire una panoramica delle numerose sembianze che il turismo esperienziale assume nella contemporaneità, sottolineandone peculiarità ed ambiguità.   • The psychology of tourism is a new study field, whom at the time being has not produced the amount of interest hoped by its promoters. Especially in the Italian context, where tourism appears to be one of the most important resources of the country, it seems appropriate to explore the psychological aspects underlying the different shapes of today traveling. The psychology of tourism, as remembered by Marcello Cesa-Bianchi, allows to understand the changing of the current forms of tourism.
  • This phenomenon, at the time being, is often described as oriented towards the research of authentic, intriguing and regenerating experiences, by which rediscover themselves and other people. Multiple shapes therefore characterize contemporary tourism, also called experiential tourism. In fact, the inherent literature alternatively describes this type of tourism, in terms of sustainable, ethical, alimentary, dark, sexual and spatial tourism. The main goal of the current paper is to provide an overview of the numerous appearances that experiential tourism takes on in the contemporaneity, underlining peculiarities and ambiguities.
