La conversione ebraico-cristiana e la sua deformazione medievale

2021 - Franco Angeli

11-20 p.

  • Dante Alighieri's idea of conversion depends on Christian origins and in particular on John the Baptist and Jesus. However, for Dante, conversion is an individual fact that takes place after death, in Purgatory. For the Baptist and Jesus, on the contrary, conversion was a collective process that allowed entry not into heaven, but into the kingdom of God on earth. The Jewish and Christian idea of conversion has vast consequences in today's world, for example in psychoanalysis and in Restorative Justice. [Publisher's text].
