L'impegno coloniale italiano negli anni 1890-1920
77-101 p.
Eritrea, Somalia, Tripolitania and Cyrenaica were the Italian colonies conquered between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The article focuses on the debate which involved pundits and economists in some newspapers of that age, such as Corriere della Sera, Il Sole, La Tribuna, Il Giornale d'Italia. Among the most important reasons that led the Kingdom of Italy to colonization were: the need of feedstocks, the search of a new market for Italian goods and new territories for migrants from southern Italy.
