Il trauma dell'analista

  • In questo lavoro l'autrice riflette sull'impatto del trauma del paziente sul trauma personale dell'analista e sulle possibili difese che egli mette in atto per tutelare la propria integrità psichica. Ipotizza un movimento nel setting interno dell'analista di dissociazione-integrazione, che può assumere una valenza difensiva e che fa parte dell'asimmetria necessaria a colui che cura, meccanismo che si affianca all'intreccio transferale e controtransferale, e che ne diviene parte.
  • Come momento di integrazione che garantisce l'asimmetria della funzione di cura, l'autrice si riferisce alla capacità di essere solo del terapeuta in presenza del paziente, sostare in aree traumatiche che non sono state elaborate, nella consapevolezza del suo limite, dissociandosi dal qui e ora della seduta. In particolare, analizza lo strumento del controtransfert, sottolineandone la complessità e l'uso in rapporto alle aree traumatiche dell'analista. Propone alcune vignette cliniche.   • In this work the author reflects on the impact of the patient's trauma on the personal trauma of the analyst and on the possible defenses that he uses to protect his psychic integrity. It speculates a movement of dissociation-integration in the internal setting of the analyst, which can take on a defensive value and which is part of the asymmetry necessary for the caregiver: a mechanism that joins the transference and countertransference interconnection, and that becomes part of it.
  • As a moment of integration that guarantees the asymmetry of the care function, he refers to the ability to be alone of the therapist in the presence of the patient, to pause in traumatic areas that have not been processed and in the awareness of its limit, dissociating himself from the here and now of the session. In particular, he analyzes the instrument of countertransference, emphasizing its complexity and use in relation to the traumatic areas of the analyst. He offers some clinical vignettes.
