  • I should like to stress that theologies and religions are in the XVIII century still the very languages of culture. Therefore they take part in the rise of Enlightenment: sometimes enthusiastically, sometimes critically or interlocutory, their drive is positively felt. This is the result of my review of many new Anglo-American, French and Dutch studies.
