Paesaggi, fantasmi e forme di resistenza nella Valle del Sacco : una scorribanda nell'italia di mezzo

Questo contributo nasce da una ricognizione esplorativa nella Valle del Sacco, territorio emblematico dell'Italia di mezzo, segnato da modernizzazioni irrisolte e dinamiche contraddittorie. Attraverso una pratica situata, ispirata alla dérive psicogeografica e alla geografia radicale, l'indagine propone una lettura critica e narrativa di un luogo sospeso tra un presente paralizzato e rappresentazioni nostalgiche e idealizzate. Emergono sia infrastrutture fragili che infrastrutture dure hub logistici, autostrade, linee ad alta velocità insieme a processi di rimozione collettiva e forme di resistenza quotidiana. La Valle diventa così un laboratorio per un'ecologia della soglia: un progetto minimale e attento, che si misura con i margini e le fratture, interrogando il territorio attraverso ciò che riaffiora, ciò che resiste e ciò che è stato escluso dalla narrazione dominante. This contribution emerges from an exploratory study of the Sacco Valley, an emblematic territory of Italia di mezzo (inbetween Italy), characterized by incomplete modernization processes and contradictory dynamics. Through a situated methodological approach, drawing from psychogeographic dérive and radical geography, this investigation provides a critical and narrative reading of a place suspended between a paralyzed present and nostalgic, idealized representations. The research reveals the coexistence of both fragile and robust infrastructures including logistics hubs, highways, highspeed rail lines alongside processes of collective denial and everyday forms of resistance. The Valley thus serves as a laboratory for an ecology of the threshold: a minimal, attentive project that engages with margins and fractures, examining the landscape through what resurfaces what persists, and what has been excluded from dominant narratives.
