  • Negli anni della "solidarietà nazionale", per tutte le forze politiche italiane il "governo" del sistema televisivo, investito da un terremoto che ne disarticolava la geografia ridefinendo gli equilibri tra "mano" pubblica e soggetti privati, si pose come un ineludibile cimento. Tanto più ne fu investito il Pci, giunto nell'area della maggioranza e forte di una folta rappresentanza parlamentare. Qual fu il suo ruolo in quello snodo? Quali obiettivi il partito si proponeva? Quale la coesione interna con cui si mosse? Quali furono le strategie messe in campo? Quali i presupposti ideologici che le sostenevano? Quali gli alleati? Sono le questioni su cui l'articolo si interroga, ricostruendo la sintassi della concertazione tra i partiti cui il Pci si affidò e di cui fu protagonista. Ne emergono i nodi e le ragioni che portarono, anziché a una legge di regolamentazione, a un appeasement che si rivelò brodo di coltura di quelle storture che avrebbero generato l'anomalia del caso italiano.   • In the years of "national solidarity", the "government" of the television broadcasting system, shaken by an earthquake that upset its geography, redefining the balance between "public" and "private" players, presented itself as an unavoidable battleground for all the political powers. The PCI, which had entered the area of the majority and could count on a strong representation in Parliament, was all the more involved in the struggle. What was its role at this juncture? What objectives did the Party have in mind? How coordinated were its moves? What strategies were brought into play? What ideological principles sustained them? Who were its allies? These are the questions the article poses, reconstructing the overall cooperation between parties that the PCI depended on and in which it played a leading role.
