  • L'autrice prende in esame il gioco nei limiti e sottolinea l'importanza del senso di libertà che il soggetto deve vivere e provare perché questa attività risulti ricreativa e possa permettere la distinzione fra realtà interna e realtà esterna. Nello spazio intermedio che si crea l'Io raggiunge così una identità rappresentativa e sublimatoria. Il gioco dei limiti, invece, appare una attività che cerca, attraverso rischi esterni, di negare un vuoto profondo. Il gioco diventa un feticcio che viene usato per nascondere il "mancante" e che procura al soggetto una sensazione di estasi, di vitalità e una convinzione di eternità. Il gioco d'azzardo viene presentato attraverso un caso clinico. L'autrice utilizza tecniche non classiche dal punto di vista psicoanalitico al fine di relazionarsi con il paziente e aiutarlo a uscire dalla compulsione di ripetizione. [Testo dell'editore].
  • The Author examines the games within the limits and points out the importance of the sense of freedom that the subject must live and feel for this activity to be recreative and to be able to allow the distinction between internal reality and external reality. In the space in between that is created the ego reaches a representative and sublimatory identity. The game of limits, however, appears as an activity that tries, through external risks, to deny a deep void. The game becomes a fetish which is used to hide the missing and gives the subject a feeling of ecstasy, of vitality and a conviction of eternity. The gambler is presented through a clinical case. The author uses nontraditional techniques from a psychoanalytic point of view in order to relate to the patient and help him to get out from the compulsion of repetition. [Publisher's text].
