  • Allison & Fonagy (2016) non definiscono formalmente in che senso usano la parola verità: dopo aver ricordato la classica distinzione tra verità come corrispondenza e verità come disvelamento, l'Autore mostra come certe parti del discorso di Allison e Fonagy rientrano nell'una o nell'altra accezione di verità. Ma la tesi centrale, imperniata sulla nozione di fiducia epistemica, non sembra comportare quella sicurezza nel cogliere la verità che Allison e Fonagy vorrebbero attribuirle, in quanto il processo di mentalizzazione richiederebbe una serie di passaggi intermedi, di inferenze mentali.   • Allison & Fonagy (2016) do not define formally what do they mean by the term truth. After having reminded the classical distinction between truth as correspondence and truth as disclosure, it is argued that Allison and Fonagy oscillate between these two definitions. The central thesis of epistemic trust does not seem to imply the certainty in finding the truth that Allison and Fonagy seem to attribute to it, since the process of mentalization would require a series of intermediate steps and mental inferences.
