Firenze University Press

Firenze University Press was founded in 2003 in association with the Universit. degli Studi di Firenze. Its aim is to provide a publishing service with autonomous control over copyright, distribution and the publication costs of educational material produced within the university environment. It is a non-profit making organization working entirely within the university system which operates independently of commercial publishing companies.

Firenze University Press places a strong emphasis on the use and development of digital technology for the production and distribution of material whilst producing printed texts which are readily available in bookstores. The organization also offers strong support to authors in matters relating to publication, promotion and the handling of legal safeguards and rights over intellectual property. Editorial policy, applying to all disciples, is determined by an advisory council which ensures the highest possible standards in the selection of titles published by Firenze University Press.
