Il socialista che non si contenta : Dal Pra e il PSI.

2024 - Franco Angeli

P. 187-210

  • The Discontented Socialist. Dal Pra and the PSI. Mario Dal Pra had a long but discontinuous political experience. After a period in the Partito d'Azione, coinciding with his clandestine activity in the Resistance, he joined the Partito Socialista Italiano and remained until the second half of the 1970s. His commitment began by collaborating with «Avanti» before being involved in the local and national structures of the Party. Always close to Riccardo Lombardi, he was to represent him in the Milanese Federation as head of the education commission. Dal Pra was also elected to the City Council for two years. Academic commitment but also the great political innovations of the second half of the 1960s distracted him from politics, to which he returned sporadically with some articles not only in the socialist newspaper but also those of the extra-parliamentary left and of the PCI.
  • Whereas Salvemini called Ivanoe Bonomi «the socialist who is satisfied», Mario Dal Pra comes across as a completely insatiable socialist. [Publisher's Text].
