Sicilitudine e negritudine : Crescenzio Cane, Leonardo Sciascia, Léopold Sédar Senghor

  • La parola sicilitudine viene inventata da Crescenzio Cane e ripresa da Sciascia prima che il primo pubblicasse il testo che la conteneva e ne spiegava il concetto. Facendo riferimento a testi, per lo più poetici, del primo e a saggi e articoli del secondo, si osserva come la riflessione dei due sull'isola, nella quale entrambi vivono, si avvicini seguendo strade che partono da esperienze diverse. La seconda parte dell'articolo ricostruisce i pochi contatti letterari e personali tra Sciascia e Senghor e rintraccia somiglianze e differenze tra la sicilitudine dei due siciliani e la negritudine del poeta africano, attraverso riferimenti all'Antologie de la nouvelle poésie nègre et malgache de langue française, e ad alcuni testi e discorsi del presidente del Senegal, tenuti durante due suoi viaggi in Italia.   • The word sicilitudine was invented by Crescenzio Cane and taken up by Sciascia before the first published the text that contained it and explained the concept. Referring to texts, mostly poetic, of the first and essays and articles of the second, we observe how the reflection of the two on the island, in which they both live, approaches following paths that start from different experiences. The second part of the article reconstructs the few literary and personal contacts between Sciascia and Senghor and traces similarities and differences between the sicilitudine of the two sicilian writers and the negritude of the african poet, through references to the Antologie de la nouvelle poésie nègre et malgache de langue française, and to some texts and speeches by the president of Senegal, given during two of his trips to Italy.
