Educare per prevenire la sofferenza delle cybervittime : ricadute educative a partire dalla Legge 71/2017

  • Con l'espansione della comunicazione online bambini e ragazzi mettono in atto nei confronti dei pari una forma pericolosa di aggressione conosciuta come cyberbullismo. La caratteristica della pervasività del fenomeno comporta vissuti di sofferenza che spesso rendono la cybervittima incapace di reagire e in alcuni casi le vittime possono anche arrivare a pensare al suicidio. A 959 studenti con un'età dagli 11 ai 15 anni delle province di Pavia e Milano è stato somministrato un questionario volto a indagare la consapevolezza del fenomeno e i vissuti di sofferenza delle vittime. I risultati verranno discussi alla luce delle indicazioni presenti nella Legge 71/2017, entrata recentemente in vigore nel nostro Paese, che si pone un preciso obiettivo educativo: preparare il contesto scolastico a prevenire e contrastare questo triste fenomeno.   • With the advent of modern forms of communication, children are now able to harass their peers with mobile phones and e-mails: a behaviour known as cyberbullying. The characteristic of the pervasiveness of the phenomenon involves experiences of suffering that often make the cyber-victim unable to react and in some cases can also get to think about committing suicide. Ninety hundred and fifty-nine students aged between 11 and 15 in the provinces of Pavia and Milan filled in a questionnaire to investigate the awareness of the phenomenon and the suffering experiences of the victims. The results will be discussed in the light of the indications of the law 71/2017, recently approved by the Italian Parliament with an educational goal: to prepare the school environment to prevent this phenomenon.
