  • Negli anni Cinquanta l'affermazione del turismo di massa accompagnò idealmente il Paese nel suo passaggio dalle rovine della seconda guerra mondiale alla stagione del boom economico. La percezione sociale dei mutamenti da esso provocati passò così per la costruzione di un immaginario turistico che il cinema contribuì a consolidare nei suoi elementi costitutivi. Studiare gli oltre quaranta film che dalla fine degli anni Quaranta vennero realizzati sul tema significa ripercorrere non solo la storia del cinema italiano dagli anni del neorealismo a quelli della commedia all'italiana, ma anche le tappe che scandirono l'approdo dell'Italia a una “società affluente”.   • The 1950s brought the diffusion of mass tourism in Italy: this moment has been considered as an ideal passage from the ruins of the World War II to the Italian economic miracle. The perception of the country's economic and social transformation led to a new cinematographic image of Italy, in which tourist stereotypes were strengthened. From the late ‘40s, more than forty films were shot: the success of this unique genre focused on the holidays, with its iconographic and thematic topoi, shows the evolution of both the Italian Cinema and society: from the Neorealism to the Italian Comedy and from the Reconstruction to an Affluent society.
