Dalla fotogrammetria di prossimità alle ricostruzioni 3D : l'esperienza di Priniàs
P. 139-151
From proximity photogrammetry to 3D reconstructions. The Priniàs experience. This paper discusses the use of close-range photogrammetry in the survey of land and structures, particularly in archaeology, for the generation of textured point clouds from sets of images taken by UAVs, SLR cameras or other more advanced instruments (LiDAR).This technique has been greatly stimulated by the rapid development of a number of computer vision algorithms, most notably SfM(Structure from Motion), which has been very popular in the field of precision photogrammetric surveying and 3D mapping. The paper includes a general introduction to close-range photogrammetry and the use of SfM, a focus on data acquisition methods and an example of mixed acquisition: traditional measuring techniques, close-range photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanning, carried out on two rock-cut tombs from the Hellenistic period located in the necropolis of Siderospilia in Priniàs [Publisher's Text].
