L'inatteso non è l'inevitabile

  • Il mondo degli eventi è il mondo nelle tre dimensioni dell'Incerto, dell'Inatteso e dell'Inevitabile. Ciò che consideriamo inevitabile può essere talvolta nient'altro che un difetto di "padronanza" dell'inatteso. Coltivare capacità di riflessione e di immaginazione è dunque indispensabile per saper pensare il mondo degli eventi con ampiezza di campo e chiarezza di sguardo, con lucidità di visione. Saper pensare, come traguardo di formazione, significa però non solo "mente lucida", ma anche "psiche solida" e "spirito sereno". La psiche solida richiede approfondita conoscenza dei sentimenti che ci abitano e ci animano (è "educazione sentimentale"). Lo spirito sereno richiede pratica sapiente del fondamento etico che guida il cammino nella vita: cioè nel mondo di ciò che "accade" nelle tre forme dell'Incerto, dell'Inatteso e dell'Inevitabile.   • The Unexpected is not the Inevitable. The world of the events is the world in the three dimensions of the Uncertain, of the Unexpected and of the Inevitable. What we consider inevitable can sometimes be nothing more than a lack of "mastery" of the unexpected. Cultivating capacity of reflection and imagination is therefore indispensable for being able to think about the world of events with a wide field and clear eyes, with clear vision. Knowing how to think, as a training aim, , means not only "clear mind", but also "solid psyche" and "peaceful spirit". The solid psyche requires deeper knowledge of the feelings that inhabit and animate us (it is "sentimental education"). The serene spirit requires wise practice of the ethical foundation that guides the path in the life: that is, in the world of what "happens" in the three forms of the Uncertain, of the Unexpected and of the Inevitable.
