There has been a long connection which has not been properly addressed between the architecture of the southern Arabian Peninsula and that of North Africa. The Moroccan High Atlas and the Yemeni province of Hadramut, share a stark resemblance in the form, content, style, and layout particularly in the construction of several storeys of rammed earth and mudbrick respectively. Further investigation reveals that these techniques were transferred across land and sea.
