Infrastrutture della marginalità : carriere migranti in terra di lavoro

Il lavoro considera le modalità attraverso cui modelli e strutture consustanziali alle forme della marginalità tipiche del Meridione italiano entrano in relazione con i percorsi biografici e lavorativi della componente migrante. Il paper si basa su una ricerca etnografica condotta nello spazio rururbano di Giugliano in Campania, parte della cosiddetta "Terra di Lavoro" e prende in considerazione le "carriere" che i migranti possono sviluppare con particolare riferimento alla componente subsahariana presente sul territorio. Incrociando le strutture della marginalità che connotano l'area con la marginalità strutturale che insiste sulla componente migrante più fragile per status giuridico e condizione sociale, si va profilando una vera e propria infrastruttura informale che permette la riproduzione sociale tanto dei migranti quanto del territorio. The work considers the ways in which models and structures inherent to the forms of mar- ginality typical of the Italian South relate to the biographical and work paths of the migrant component. The paper draws on ethnographic research in the rural-urban space of Giugliano in Campania, part of the so called "Terra di Lavoro", and takes into consideration the "careers" that migrants can develop with particular reference to the Sub-Saharan component present in the area. By intersecting the structures of marginality that characterize the area with the structural marginality of the migrant component, which is more fragile due to legal status and social condition, an informal infrastructure is emerging that allows for the social reproduction of both migrants and the territory.
