2021 - EUM - Edizioni Università di Macerata

P. 129-134

  • The text refers to the lecture recently held at the University of Florence by Claudia Lux, former president of IFLA, in order to clarify the relationship between public and academic libraries and Library politics, an emerging issue for researchers in Library ad Information Science. It examines also the role of library associations in the international context for the spread of library politics, library policy and library polity. The growing link between LIS domain and social sciences, stressed by Lux, is compared with the themes already discussed in previous lectures, held at the University of Florence by means of IFLA .
