L'urgenza del peggio : antropologia e apocalisse in Cioran
P. 181-200
The aim of this paper is to examine the connections between anthropology and apocalypse in Cioran's eschatology. The author will show how Cioran exploits apocalyptic symbolism to approach the metaphysical issue concerning the sense of History in a sceptical, humoristic way. Moving from this hypothesis, the author compares Cioran's work with Beckett's poetry, Lévy-Strauss' anthropology, Hegel's philosophy of history, and Kierkegaard's definition of humourism.
