Croce e Nietzsche : la fede tra lo storicismo e l'eterno ritorno

2020 - Bibliopolis

P. 141-158

  • In this article the author attempts to show that even Croce and Nietzsche are unable to emancipate themselves from the problematic dimension of having to be, the Sollen, and from every metaphysical impulse. Furthermore, the author strives to grasp some important links between the idealistic event in Croce and the nihilist one theorized by Nietzsche. The ‘indeterminate' freedom of Croce touches on the eternal and therefore goes beyond the historicist moment of the event. In Nietzsche, instead, faith coincides with the ‘indeterminate' moment of the Übermensch, that is with an ideal that once again escapes the event of the ‘first life'. [Publisher's text]
