  • Caduto ogni dubbio sull'attribuzione dell'Avis aux réfugiés (1690), è ormai possibile analizzare il pensiero politico-religioso di Pierre Bayle non solo nelle sue singole espressioni ma anche nel suo sviluppo diacronico. In questa prospettiva potranno muoversi future ricerche, ma è chiaro fin da subito che l'Avis costituisce un'ulteriore conferma che la critica di Bayle dell'impatto politico della religione si indirizza non contro questa o quella setta, ma più in generale contro la pretesa che la religione sia in qualche modo «utile» per mantenimento dei legami sociali e politici tra i componenti delle comunità umane.   • While the dispute on the attribution of the Avis aux réfugiés (1690) can be considered as definitively settled, it is time to analyse Bayle's political and religious thought not only in its particular expressions but also diachronically and as a whole. This can be a possible subject for future research, but it is by now clear that the Avis fully confirms that Bayle's critique of the political impact of religion is not directed towards a particular sect or confession, but against the general claim that religion can be «useful» for the maintenance of the social and political ties which are at the basis of human communities.
