  • L'articolo analizza la visibilità delle riviste umanistiche italiane nell'ambito dei principali strumenti bibliografici utilizzati per la valutazione della ricerca e, in particolare nelle banche dati bibliografiche Web of Science (Thomson Reuters)e Scopus (Elsevier). All'esame critico degli elenchi delle riviste italiane inclusi nelle banche dati prescelte, presentati integralmente per agevolare l'identificazione dei titoli, segue l'esposizione e l'analisi dei dati.   • Aim of this paper is to give a contribution to the analysis of the visibility gave to the Italian Humanities journals from leading bibliographic databases used for national research assessment. In particular, we will focus on the bibliographic databases Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) and Scopus (Elsevier). We believe it is important to develop a deep understanding of the issues related to assessment. We would like to deal with these issues, not yet adequately discussed by Italian scholars, through an essential statement of the main aspects of the problem. Therefore, we propose an examination of detailed lists of Italian Humanities journals included in the selected databases to help the identification of titles.
