L'economia nascosta della stima

2017 - Franco Angeli

99-123 p.

  • The article describes those patterns of behavior that silently regulate the attribution of esteem in society. In particular, the reflection is developed under the assumption that there seems to be no chance for an individual to obtain esteem and avoid disesteem intentionally. Despite this, the aim is to show that people have however found how to satisfy their demand of esteem by means of mutual exchange, competition and association, so to earn for themselves a certain amount of that commodity. Thus, social practices are taken to hide an economy of esteem that the article wants to unmask. [Publisher's Text].
