Nel quarto volume, Self Made Architecture racconta una sperimentazione su un tema formale declinato su due sistemi costruttivi. Latassellazione spaziale è una delle tecniche più singolari nel campo della progettazione parametrica e si distingue per il suo alto potenzialeevocativo rispetto a nuove frontiere del costruire. L'autocostruzione come processo innovativo strettamente connesso all'evoluzionetecnica nel campo del digitale può assumerla come una nuova frontiera di sperimentazione. Le ricerche presentate rappresentano dueapplicazioni del tema coinvolgendo materiali e tecniche diverse: la prima applicata alla costruzione in legno con il progetto Wood Beehive ela seconda nuovamente sul tema della costruzione in terra con un focus specifico sulla tecnica del torchis. Entrambe le esperienze sono,come sempre, connesse ad attività costruttive laboratoriali che coinvolgono il gruppo di ricerca del FabLab Poliba anche in contesti lontani. [Testo dell'editore].

In the fourth volume, Self Made Architecture presents an experimental investigation of a formal theme articulated through two distinctconstruction systems. Spatial tessellation emerges as one of the most singular techniques within the field of parametric design,distinguished by its strong evocative potential in relation to new frontiers of building. Self-construction, understood as an innovative processclosely connected to technological evolution in the digital domain, can adopt it as a new frontier of experimentation. The researchpresented consists of two applications of this theme, involving different materials and techniques: the first applied to timber constructionwith the Wood Beehive project, and the second once again addressing earthen construction, with a specific focus on the torchis technique.Both experiences are, as always, connected to hands-on laboratory construction activities involving the the FabLab Poliba research group,also operating in remote contexts.
