La differenza femminile : una decostruzione dei modi per parlarne
67-83 p.
This text discusses the main paths taken by theories to account for the political and mental differences between women and men in various societies: constructivist theory, which views these differences as purely historicalcultural constructions, and representationalist theory, which considers cultural differences to be the expression of either physical differences or environmental factors. This text puts forward yet another perspective, differentialist or selectionist, which dispenses with the classic nature versus culture opposition. That is, that even the psychological differences between women and men in various cultures are not the result of a project to oppress women, but of complex and unconscious social processes, and that they vary historically.
