"Here, There, and Everywhere" : i molteplici voltiascismo nella relatività spaziotemporale

  • Il tema del fascismo generico è al centro del dibattito storiografico sin dagli anni tra le due guerre. Il presente contributo inserisce le interpretazioni fornite dai lavori pubblicati nel corso del centenario della marcia su Roma all'interno di una serie di indirizzi storiografici emersi principalmente nell'ultimo ventennio, dai quali ha preso forma una lettura prasseologica del fascismo incentrata sulla violenza e l'intolleranza che lo ha descritto quale fenomeno ibrido globale e trans-storico a cavallo tra rivoluzione e reazione e strettamente legato ai movimenti conservatori e nazionalisti. Si tratta di una modalità di analisi su cui l'autore mostra una serie di perplessità perché non solo sta rischiando di rendere impalpabile l'esperienza del fascismo ma sta riportando il dibattito scientifico a quella polemica politica che aveva contraddistinto gli anni tra le due guerre mondiali e quelli immediatamente successivi.   • The topic of generic Fascism has been at the centre of the historiographical debate since the years between the two world wars. This article analyses the interpretations provided by studies published during the centenary of the March on Rome, within the framework of the last twenty years' historiographical trends. In this historiography a praxeological reading of Fascism took shape, focused on violence and intolerance, where Fascism was described as a global and trans-historical hybrid phenomenon, between revolution and reaction, and closely linked to conservative and nationalist movements. The author expresses doubts about this historiographical approach, arguing that not only it risks making the phenomenon of Fascism impalpable, but it also brings the scientific debate back to the old political controversy of the years between the two world wars and those immediately after.
