  • Medieval castles in Sardinia have long been a subject that has fascinated scholars from various fields. The work presented here starts from a systemic vision on a territorial scale, in the conviction that it is only from this that it is possible to arrive at an effective knowledge and understanding of each architectural reality. The path of investigation adopted has consisted in uniting the views and skills of the disciplines of Restoration and Mineralogy, with the intention of reconstructing the evolution of each artefact and identifying chronotypological masonry classes.
