  • The aim of this article is to address some points relative to the construction of a philosophical and, at the same time, historically situated subject in the Phenomenology of the Spirit. The idea of an introduction to the Hegelian system determines in turn the idea of the system and organization of scientific knowledge. The author subsequently analyses the logical movement of the Doctrine of Essence, particularly in the passage from Causality to Reciprocity. In the pages devoted to this subject, Hegel shows the necessity of free causality and brings to completion the philosophical project announced in the Phenomenology of the Spirit. [Publisher's text]
