This paper illustrates the potential use of remotely piloted aircrafts in the Police service both through an analysis of their technical characteristics, aimed at sketching out the best possible operational scenarios, and in the light of the relative standard regulations defining its legal employment. Great importance has been given to the work done by the joint and interdisciplinary Technical Committee set up on November 4th 2014 by a special Decree issued by the Chief of Police.
