This volume provides a new critical edition of the Kizzuwatnean ritual of Šalašu (CTH 788), which was performed by the “Old Woman” Šalašu against black magic. The text, written mainly in Hittite language, is characterised by the presence of bilingual Hurrian-Hittite passages, as well as parts written entirely in Hurrian. The volume attempts to reconstruct and interpret the ritual actions, and each manuscript is also discussed from a philological and lexical point of view [Publisher's text].
