  • Prendendo in considerazione anche la produzione più recente, fino ai convegni della primavera estate 2021 in occasione del centenario, il presente intervento intende ragionare su alcuni topoi che hanno contraddistinto le ricostruzioni di alcuni ambiti della prima associazione antifascista, gli Arditi del popolo (Adp). Dai legami tra arditismo postbellico e primo fascismo (quello sansepolcrista e quello squadrista) alle presunte ambiguità della milizia antifascista; dal suo rapporto con il combattentismo e il dannunzianesimo politico (il fiumanesimo), ai nessi con le culture politiche del movimento operaio. Tra le altre questioni rilevanti vi sono: le relazioni con le istituzioni dello Stato, l'atteggiamento distaccato dei partiti e dei sindacati operai, la diffusione territoriale degli Adp e, infine, la questione della tipologia del loro antifascismo.   • This article aims to analyze various arguments and commonplaces regarding the first antifascist Association/Militia, the "Arditi del Popolo" (Adp), that have appeared routinely in historiography and conferences on the topic up to, and including, those organized in the SpringSummer 2021 to commemorate the first centenary of the Association. The article focuses first on the connections in general between veterans of the Italian Shock Troops in WW1 (the "Arditi") and the "early hour" fascists, namely, the "Sansepolcristi" and the "Squadristi." It then turns to examine alleged ambiguities of the Arditi del Popolo, their relationship with other warveteran movements and associations, including those connected to D'Annunzio and "Fiumanesimo", as well as their links with the political cultures of the workers' movement.
  • Other relevant issues touched upon in the article are the relations between the Adp and the Italian State, the attitude of leftwing parties and workers' unions towards the Adp, its spread in Italy and, finally, the typological classification of its antifascist stance. [Publisher's text].
