La Città dei rider : uno sguardo in movimento sulla città

  • Mentre la città si svuotava e i suoi spazi divenivano improvvisamente immobili e silenziosi, un solo movimento attraversava le strade e le piazze deserte, svelando presenze pressoché invisibili fino ai recenti lockdown. La Città dei rider è un progetto di ricerca sulla città contemporanea: su come rappresentare le trasformazioni introdotte dalle nuove popolazioni urbane, e sull'idea di città che emerge da chi la osserva da uno sguardo in movimento. 100 mappe realizzate dai rider milanesi rivelano nuove geografie su cui si innesta l'ipotesi di un progetto per un'infrastrutturazione leggera dello spazio pubblico: un network di dispositivi di ancoraggio a servizio dei rider e di tutti i cittadini; un disegno volto a incidere sulla costruzione di un nuovo spazio di cittadinanza.   • While the city emptied out and its spaces suddenly became still and silent, a single movement crossed the deserted streets and squares, revealing presences that were almost invisible until the recent lockdowns. The City of riders is a research project on the contemporary city: on how to represent the transformations introduced by new urban populations, and on the idea of the city that emerges from those who observe it from a gaze in motion. 100 maps created by Milanese riders reveal new geographies on which the hypothesis of a project for a light infrastructuring of public space is grafted: a network of ‘anchoring devices' serving both the riders and all citizens; a design aimed at affecting the construction of a new space of citizenship.
