  • Il Piano del Trentino di Giuseppe Samonà (1967) introduce l'idea di una 'città senza concentrazione': una 'campagna urbanizzata' popolata da servizi e luoghi della produzione. Il Piano consiste in una 'visione' di lungo periodo espressa entro una forma 'argomentativa' del discorso che prevale su quella prescrittiva. Esso fa leva sul 'convincimento' del destinatario, più che sulla forza obbligatoria del Piano. L'autore del saggio muove a partire dall'esperienza trentina, cogliendo alcune relazioni con altre riflessioni di Samonà, osservando gli anni precedenti e quelli successivi. Pur evolvendosi, il pensiero dell'autore siciliano lavora attorno a un nucleo tematico molto denso che ha avuto nel Piano del Trentino un primo deposito formale e ha rappresentato un innesco per successive riflessioni teoriche e progettuali. The Plan consists of a longterm 'vision' expressed in an 'argumentative' form of the discourse that prevails over the prescriptive one. It relies on the 'conviction' of the recipient, rather than on the mandatory strength of the Plan. The author of the paper moves from the Trentino experience, seizing some relationships with other reflections of Samonà, observing the previous and following years. Although evolving, the thought of the Sicilian author is constantly working around a very dense thematic core that has had in the Plan of Trentino a first formal deposit and has been a trigger for subsequent theoretical and planning reflections.
