  • Simona Sava, PhD, is Full Professor at the West University of Timisoara and Head of the Department of Educational Sciences. She was Director of Romanian Institute for Adult Education (IREA) from 2000 till 2013 (till 2015 scientific director). She got her habilitation with a thesis on professionalization in adult education, but her research interests cover also topics like validation of competencies and educational policies. Petr Novotny, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Educational Sciences, Masaryk University of Brno (Czech Republic) His main fields of research are learning, work and innovation. His focus is divided between andragogy (including the elaboration of the subject of workplace learning) and methodology of educational research.[Publisher's text]
