Momenti di sonno in seduta

2004 - Franco Angeli

33-42 p.

  • The symptom of unintentional sleep seems to play the role of a defense against stressing events, which the psyche is unable to hold. The A. believes that the sleep can be an active way of defense when induced through unintentional hypnotic ways or through the projective identification. In the light of this surmise, the analyst's moments of sleep during the session can be related to the transference-counter transference situation where the analyst's receptivity plays an important role too. Some clinical remarks support these assumptions. [Publisher's text].
