Académia-EME éditions

Academia and EME are publishing houses specializing in the humanities. Their publications offer a wide selection of academic series, most of which are edited by renowned external series editors. Their catalogs are aimed at a diverse audience: professionals, educators, researchers, students,and enthusiasts of knowledge.

Founded in 1987 and based in Louvain-la-Neuve, at the heart of the university campus, Academia Publishing has built its catalog with the ambition of serving as a think tank, a disseminator of knowledge, and a publisher open to a constantly evolving world. It was acquired by the L'Harmattan Group in 2011. Editions Academia has expanded its catalog to include literature by creating various collections of fictional works (shortstory collections, novels, memoirs, etc.) and non-fiction (personal accounts).

Éditions EME (Éditions Modulaires Européennes) was founded in 2000 and joined the L'Harmattan group in 2015. A publishing house specializing in academic subjects and texts related to the humanities, it has built its catalog around collections in sociology, education, philosophy, and Freemasonry.
