  • L'articolo propone un riesame delle fonti dell'episodio di Narciso dell'Inamoramento de Orlando (II xvii 49-63), dimostrando principalmente, nel gioco intertestuale boiardesco, l'ampio riuso del Narcisse - che va ad aggiungersi a quello di un altro ben noto modello anticofrancese, il Roman de la Rose -, e riconsiderando, anche nelle sue ripercussioni sul piano stilistico, il ruolo, niente affatto marginale ma in passato forse sottostimato, delle Metamorfosi ovidiane.   • The article presents a re-examination of the sources of the Narcissus episode in the Inamoramento de Orlando (II xvii 49-63), mainly demonstrating, in Boiardo's intertextual play, the extensive re-use of the Narcisse - in addition to that of another well-known ancient-French model, the Roman de la Rose - and reconsidering, also in its effects on the stylistic level, the role, by no means marginal but in the past perhaps underestimated, of Ovid's Metamorphoses.
