Socioecological practices and community resilience strategies for sustainable agriculture in lower Sinú, Colombia
P. 65-119
- This research examines the socioecological practices of ruralcommunities as an epistemological foundation to configurecommunity resilience strategies and face socio-environmentalconflicts due to limited access to water, loss of biodiversityand ancestral knowledge. To meet this objective, a qualitativeapproach was used with a non-experimental transectionalresearch design of exploratory type with a case study methodin the Association of Producers for Community Developmentof the Cienaga del Bajo Sinú-Asprocig, Colombia. As a mainresult, it is argued that the rural communities of the lowerSinú organized in associations carry out self-managementmodels that promote the articulation of social and ecologicalsystems, socio-environmental sustainability and makean adequate management of use and access to ecosystemservices.
