History of Ignorance : a 21st Century Project
P. 155-170
- This essay introduces the history of ignorance and sketches its contours and ambitions, focusing on the field's disciplinary connections with the history of knowledge and history of science. It also contains some tentative explorations of what the history of (scientific) ignorance, as an emerging academic field, might offer to the wider study of ignorance rapidly taking shape today.
