  • Attraverso il presente contributo ci si prefigge di effettuare una prima breve analisi dell'autore Francesco Agostino Della Chiesa e delle sue opere, nel periodo di tempo compreso tra il 1593, anno della sua nascita, e il 1629. Di famiglia colta, vescovo di Saluzzo, è autore di alcuni dei cataloghi più importanti del xvii secolo. Rappresenta inoltre una figura importante nel campo della storiografia piemontese, nonché italiana, grazie alle opere che ci hanno fatto pervenire un preciso spaccato della vita di corte e religiosa dell'epoca.   • Through this contribution we aim to carry out a first brief analysis of Francesco Agostino Della Chiesa and his works, in the period of time between 1593, the year of his birth, and 1629. Of a cultured family, bishop of Saluzzo, he is the author of some of the most important catalogues of the 17th century. It also represents an important figure in the field of Piedmont's and Italian historiography, thanks to the works that have given us a clear cross-section of the court and religious life of the time.
