  • Se «l'Io è anzitutto un'entità corporea» (Freud), la vita psichica non può esprimersi senza la sua partecipazione. L'articolo focalizza l'attenzione sulle manifestazioni corporee dovute all'interazione tra paziente e analista nel "qui ed ora" della seduta analitica. Descrive in dettaglio due sedute analitiche con due diversi pazienti, con manifestazioni corporee differenziate: in un caso, sensazioni viscerali, nell'altro, coinvolgimento dell'apparato muscolare. L'obiettivo dell'articolo è duplice. Primo, illustrare come sia inevitabile, per capire il paziente nell'interazione con l'analista (principalmente nel transfert e controtransfert), tener conto delle manifestazioni corporee; secondo, sollevare la questione se le diverse forme di manifestazioni fisiche indichino gradazioni diverse di psicopatologia o se non sia più importante la natura della scissione, patologica o meno.   • If «the ego is first and foremost a bodily ego» (Freud), psychic life cannot be expressed without its participation. In this presentation, attention is focused on the bodily manifestations in the "here and now" of the analytic session, resulting from the interaction between patient and analyst. Two sessions are described in detail corresponding to two patients, whose bodily expressions are different. In one, through visceral sensations, and in the other, through the involvement of the skeletal muscles. The aim of the paper is double. First, to illustrate how, in order to understand the patient through the interaction between patient and analyst (mainly transference and countertransference) it is unavoidable to take into account bodily manifestations; and secondly, to raise the question of whether different kinds of bodily expression mean different degrees of psychopathology or if the nature of splitting, pathological or not, is more important.
