  • Mathias Goeritz is one of the key-artists in the revival of visual art in Mexico during the 20th century. Rereading his work and asking ourself questions about the exercise of his complex and varied artistic "craft", it is fundamental to understand the process of renewal of art in Mexico after Muralism. In this article we intend, first of all, to understand the thought and work of Goeritz, in order to adequately situate his theoretical and artistic work in the international context. Secondly, the aim is to focus on the issues at the time of their first historical formulation by artists who played an important role in the second half of the twentieth-century, between Europe and America. All this, through the search for the three concepts that are at the basis of the theoretical formulation and operating practice of this German artist residing in Mexico: Visual Education (Educación visual), Gesamtkunstwerk and Emotional Architecture (Arquitectura emocional).   • Mathias Goeritz è uno degli artisti-chiave del rinnovamento dell'arte visiva in Messico durante il XX secolo. Rileggere la sua opera e interrogarsi sull'esercizio del suo complesso e variegato "mestiere" artistico, è fondamentale per capire il processo di rinnovamento dell'arte in Messico dopo il Muralismo. In questo articolo ci si propone, prima di tutto, di comprendere il pensiero e l'opera di Goeritz, in modo da poter situare adeguatamente il suo lavoro teorico e artistico nel contesto internazionale. In secondo luogo, si mira a mettere a fuoco le questioni nel momento della loro prima formulazione storica da parte di artisti che hanno svolto un ruolo importante nella seconda metà del Novecento, tra Europa e America.
  • Tutto questo, attraverso la ricerca di tre concetti che stanno alla base della formulazione teorica e della prassi operativa di questo artista tedesco residente in Messico: l'Educazione visiva (Educación visual), il Gesamtkunstwerk e l'Architettura emozionale (Arquitectura emocional).
